Spring Came to Siberia

Igor was born in 1917. He graduated from the Kiev Art Academy in 1937. He loved the Ukraine, and was in opposition towards Russia and was often discriminated by authorities. His public statements towards Russian National Policy were a reason that he was not welcome on the art shows in Moscow and Leningrad. He was a wonderful artist. His favorite subjects were Ukrainian farmers and the countryside. He was a wonderful master of landscape. About 50 of his paintings are exhibited in the Kiev Art Museum. he is a very well known artist in Europe and his paintings can be found in several private collections in London, Paris and Rome. Most of his other paintings can be found in Kiev, Kharkov, Odessa and the Lvov Art Museums. He had two daughters; they are also well-known artists in the Ukraine. His paintings "Spring Came", "Farmer's House" were exhibited in Canada in 1989.
